Determination of secure vape juice The higher the Vegetable Glycerin (VG) content the “safer” the vape juice is. As we know all vape juices are relatively “safe” but do not forget that most vape pipes contain nicotine as well. People are steadily moving away from mixtures that are 50% VG - 50% Propylene Glycol (PG) and are moving to either 70–80% VG and 30–20% PG and a lot of vapers are now moving to flavors deemed “Max VG” which contains almost all Vegetable Glycerin and only the Propylene Glycol that is in the artificial flavoring because most flavors have a propylene glycol base to them (but not much). Read this guide: VG Vs PG. How safe is Propylene Glycol? Propylene glycol is used in food processing and is safe for humans, but it also used as a preservative in things like anti-freeze. PG is safe but it’s the PG that is the flavor carrier in e-juice’s so it will always play a role. But with new tanks and RDA’S it isn’t needed as much. PG is also what gives you the “throat hit” feeling in your throat like you are smoking a tobacco cigarette and as more and more vapors quit smoking completely, the throat hit isn’t really necessary anymore. Do you need help to find the best e liquid in the UK? Never forget about your nicotine level either. The “technically safest” vape juice would be a “Max VG/0 mg nicotine (containing no nicotine at all, and very little PG) vape juice.” Thanks for reading!
